What I'd do for you.
I'm going to bother you until you answer,
Because suddenly "I'm fine" just isn't good enough
I'll ask if you're okay until my voice gets harsh
I'll hold on tighter for the both of us.
I can't ignore it any longer
I see your struggle, its not just stress
I've been ignorant before, always hoping for the best
Not this time, this is your life.
Be moody all you want,
Scream through all of my defenses,
Build the walls up so high, so no one can climb them.
I'll try.
Not because I think you'd do the same
Or that you've been such a positive force in my life
But because I've seen that look before
I've seen that look before
And I walked away.
I want to hate you
Be mad at you forever
Turn my back on your sad, sorry face and forget you existed
BUT THEN I SEE
That the anger you throw in my face is the anger you use to beat yourself u,
The bruises on your knuckles showing the proof.
The tears you've made me shed were tears of your own
A stream that never ends,
A continuous flow.
You push me away because you're scared i'll see your hurt,
How it matches my own
So I'm here for you, I am
Because I know how it feels when no one else is there.
