Warning: May contain spoilers!

Hello fellow readers, this is my first book review! Although I have many opinions on the story, these are only MY unadultered opinions and if you read the book, you may feel differently!

Synopsis: The new Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-‐Night Stand. Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby wants—and needs—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match. (Source: http://www.jamiemcguire.com/beautiful-disaster)

I had many expectations for this book, but one of the reasons I picked it up was for the synopsis. I'm a sucker for the good-girl meets bad-boy romance and although the outcome is usually predictable throughout the story, these books still manage to make me feel all giddy inside. However, I was disappointed to find that the main female character, Abby Abernathy did NOT match the description in the back whatsoever. Usually authors try to make their characters relateable and I applaud Jamie McGuire for giving Abby some sass and stubbornness but I couldn't stand how she didn't meet the criteria mentioned in the back, I mean where was the cardigan counting woman who refrained from swearing or drinking? From the beginning of the book to the end, Abby didn't show any characteristics of a typical good girl, she was often aggressive and blatantly rude, even to the point where she admitted it to herself.

Then came the love triangle between Travis, the bad boy? (I put a question mark because his personality traits are questionable), and Parker, a supposedly nice guy. Although this book was centered around these young adults in college, none of them did any real studying. Abby seemed to be going out on dates with rich guys more than picking up a pencil. Usually I'm not so specific around a book, but why emphasize how into her studies the main character is when she barely touches her homework?
